The EZ SPSS Tutorials web site grew out of a belief that the SPSS statistics package is overly complex, and that a set of tutorials explaining its functionality might be helpful to students and researchers alike.
This web site the sister site of SocSciStatistics.Com, which features easy to use statistical calculators. Ideally, we’d like people to use the calculators featured there rather than those offered by SPSS, but the reality is SPSS remains the statistics package of choice for many college and university departments – and also, understandably, given its sophistication, for many statistics professionals (along with R) – hence the need for a comprehensive set of tutorials.
The site was founded by Dr Jeremy Stangroom, who has a social science PhD from the London School of Economics, and who is the author of numerous books, including the international bestseller, Einstein’s Riddle.
